NUMERICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF A DOUBLE-PIPE HEAT EXCHANGER WITH SiO2 NANO-ADDITIVES

In this work, numerical and experimental analyses of a double-pipe heat exchanger with SiO2 nanoparticles were performed. The study was conducted by using the k-e turbulence model Galerkin weighted residual finite element method. nanofluid used in inner pipe at various solid particle volume fractions. Effects flow rate temperature on overall transfer coefficient examined. Brownian motion effect included effective thermal conductivity nanofluid. It observed that enhanced inclusion nanoparticle increasing volumetric Even though validation conducted, there are discrepancies between studies which become higher for mass rate. deviations 4.60% 27.50% rates 0.87 L/min 2.15 L/min.
